We point you to this independent, intermittent podcast from crime analyst and ex-police officer Heidi Galore. Not to be confused with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Unsolved, recommended in Issue 23, this simple and effective production tells the stories of half-forgotten, never-solved crimes. Galore narrates the circumstances of each case - the victim, the crime itself, the investigation - in a soft, gravelly murmur, and speculates based on the facts available. Her voice alone makes for strangely gripping listening. Episode 3, the first in a mini-series about couples all murdered on a scenic Virginian highway, is a good entry point.
