Start the Week
There's nothing more sonically pleasing than the voice of journalist Andrew Marr, who was the regular host of this long-running BBC panel program until he suffered a stroke in 2013 (he's since recovered, and now shares hosting duties with Tom Sutcliffe, among others). Every Monday, a handful of clever and interesting people - writers, makers and thinkers of all stripes - gather to discuss the subject of the day, be it the Tudors, climate change, capitalism or Putin's Russian. Occasional episodes divert from the format to feature one-on-one interviews with the likes of Clive James and Salman Rushdie. Listen first thing to gain enlightenment for the week ahead.
