Small Town Horror
Supplement instalments of The Black Tapes with this spooky indie fiction series. Our host, Ryan Jennings, is from a town in Minnesota so small and neglected that it doesn't make it onto maps. It's also a vaguely sinister place: the sort of place where people die and disappear in disproportionate numbers and nobody seems to think there's anything weird about that. As a teenager, Ryan experienced something traumatic in the woods - something he doesn't clearly remember - and left town soon afterwards. Years later, he is dragged back both by the death of his father and a strong feeling that there is something strange at work in his home town. Apart from two introductory episodes, which set up this back story, that's essentially where our story begins. It's not a technically perfect production, but that only adds to the audio verite chill, and by Episode 3, the plot had its hooks in us. New 20 minute-episodes out bi-weekly.
