It's a risky premise for live storytelling and a little tricky to break down, but hear us out. An audience member is called on stage. Another audience member, also on stage, asks them a single question. What do you regret? What happened on your worst date? When was the last time you cried, and why? Once they've answered, the questionee becomes the questioner, and a new person is pulled out of the crowd. The questions are pre-submitted, but the answers and pairings are random, so the result is a tag-team adventure that swings unpredictably from the silly to the deep.
Fun, right? We promise it is. Even when it's not a great answer, there's a pleasurable anticipation for what will come next, and it's all managed with wit and good humour by producer and creator Jody Avirgan. In more recent episodes, the improvised musical stylings of Eli Bolin are a delightful addition. The podcast is on hiatus, but for now enjoy the backlist, which dates to May 2012.
The show has been on hiatus since Jan 2016.
