A Thoroughly Wet Mess
Get in on the ground floor with this Australian serial dramedy, based on the long-unsolved case of the Mary Celeste. If you're not up to speed with your 1872 broadsheets or modern-day conspiracy theories, allow us to fill you in: the seaworthy vessel was found empty and drifting, cargo untouched and a lifeboat missing, 10 days after the last entry in the ship's log, and none of the people who'd been on board were ever seen again. So, yeah, that's pretty hectic. In this original series, written by all-round Renaissance man Aden Rolfe and released via Radio National's Radiotonic, descendants of the ship's vanished crew take a tribute journey on a replica ship, which sounds like a totally fail-safe plan. Eight episodes total.
