We hear so much slickly-produced audio these days that our threshold of tolerance for people-just-having-a-funny-conversation podcasts is gradually but noticeably receding. We are pleased to report that Wikishuffle is a delightful exception to that rule. In each episode, three mild-mannered Brits gather for a half-hour of encyclopaedic misadventure via the Random Article button on Wikipedia. If you've never ventured down that particular late-night click-hole, you can imagine the possibilities: in the course of minutes, we lurch from obscure Japanese anime to genital parasites to Hitler's birthday party. No matter the material - and it's sometimes pretty bleak - our hosts are unflaggingly amusing, and we have learned actual facts* in the course of listening (*fact-learning not guaranteed). A cosy new favourite, weekly.
