We were delighted by this Australian show, in which adorable nerd May Jasper hits the random article button on Wikipedia, then proceeds to investigate whatever subject the fates turn up. The premise is not entirely unique (we've previously recommended the Brit comedy show Wikishuffle), but Jasper takes things to the next level; her Wikipedia articles are jumping-off points for much deeper dives. In Episode 1, she goes in search of an obscure moth, and badgers Australia's most eminent lepidopterists. In Episode 2, she looks for model airport enthusiasts (not airplane - airport) and explores commercial aviation history. Her delivery is infectious, in the mode of Wendy Zuckerman (read: puns, dorkery) and there's a dash of Surprisingly Awesome in this, too, because Jasper's stories really are surprisingly awesome, and crafted with a great deal of care. Five full-length episodes are available and Season 2 is imminent.
