Each 10 to 15 minute episode of this wonderfully weird little podcast features a story, usually first-person, that is '83% to 100% true'. All of them are narrated by an anonymous man (Toronto-based producer Clive Desmond, as it turns out), whose too-perfect voice and clipped delivery produce an effect of uncanny valley creepiness. Here is the voice of the Hive Mind, of the Motherboard, of God. The stories themselves have an air of urban legend, the sort of thing submitted to trashy magazines ('It happened to a friend of a friend of mine'), but they are darker, more surreal. Honestly, we don't always know what they mean - a woman is trapped in a stadium bathroom for some days; a tour group visit a crematorium; a couple of teens break up over YouTube - but each account is strangely compelling. Twelve episodes are available for wholesale consumption.

Gateway episodes: Episode 12: Twisted Sister (29 Jul 2016) / Episode 11: Oak Valley (15 Jul 2016) / Episode 4: Fahrenheit 1000 (6 Apr 2016)
